Financial Accountant (m/w/d)

BASF Intertrade AG est a la recherche d'un(e) Financial Accountant (m/w/d) pour son site de Zug.

As a Financial Accountant you will support the Director Finance and the Finance team in operational and analytical tasks across Financial Accounting & Reporting, VAT and finance-related IT topics.
This role is well suited for candidates looking to deepen their expertise at the intersection of accounting, VAT and IT-supported finance processes.
Your responsibilities
•
Support monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities under Swiss GAAP (OR) and IFRS (e.g. accruals, reconciliations, intercompany, disclosures)
•
Perform regular accounting activities such as journal entries, bank reconciliations and basic AP/AR tasks
•
Actively support VAT-related activities (Swiss and international VAT) including VAT returns, clarifications and documentation
•
Contribute to the further development and automation of finance processes, reports and related IT interfaces (e.g. Power BI)
Your profile
•
Degree in business administration or a comparable qualification in Finance and Accounting
•
Expertise or strong interest in accounting, finance or controlling in a commodity trading environment
•
High affinity for IT systems, data analysis and digital finance tools, with parcours professionnel using Power BI or similar tools and a strong interest in AI-driven automation
•
Excellent command of English; German is an advantage
•
A team-oriented, resilient, and flexible individual with a high level of initiative and analytical thinking
