Luxium builds infrastructure designed to remain relevant for decades, not trends that fade in years.\nResponsibilities\nDesign the core architecture of a new Layer 1 blockchain.\nDefine consensus mechanisms, validator models and network architecture.\nBalance scalability, security and decentralization.\nTranslate conceptual ideas into an implementable technical architecture.\nPrepare clear architecture documentation.\nIdentify technical risks and architectural trade offs.\nCollaborate closely with founders and the engineering team.\nHelp shape the future technical organization and hiring roadmap.\nRequirements\nStrong experience in blockchain architecture or distributed systems.\nDeep understanding of Layer 1 protocol design and consensus mechanisms.\nStrong knowledge of distributed computing, network security and blockchain cryptography.\nAbility to architect complex systems from first principles.\nExcellent analytical thinking and technical documentation skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nPrevious experience designing or contributing to Layer 1 protocols.\nProtocol engineering experience.\nExperience with Rust, Go, C++, or similar system-level languages.\nExperience designing secure distributed systems.\nOpen-source blockchain contributions.\nExperience working with early-stage protocol architecture.\nEngagement\nThe collaboration begins with an architecture-focused phase to define the protocol’s foundations before full-scale implementation.\nWe are open to:\nProject based collaboration\nShort term architecture engagement\nPart time senior involvement\nTransition into a long term technical leadership role\nCompensation & Relocation\nWe value exceptional talent and are prepared to structure a compensation package that reflects world-class expertise, proven experience, and long-term commitment.\nCompensation is highly competitive and tailored to the successful candidate’s experience, expertise, and level of responsibility.
