Currently, there are 189 McDonald's restaurants in Switzerland, run by 46 independent entrepreneurs (franchisees). Because our business is growing fast, we are looking for talented people to strengthen our main offices that provide support to all restaurants. To complement its Finance department based in Crissier, McDonald's Switzerland is looking to fill the role of :

Accounting Operations Manager (80-100%)

We are looking for an experienced professional to strengthen our Finance department. As Accounting Operations Manager, you contribute to the execution, supervision, and continuous improvement of end-to-end accounting processes in collaboration with our external partner (third-party provider), local teams, and Corporate. You are responsible for the quality, compliance, and smooth execution of accounting operations at market level, while supporting the alignment with global GBS standards.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Coordination

  • Supervise and coordinate a small team, depending on market needs.
  • Serve as a point of escalation for complex accounting matters, providing guidance, priorities, and follow-up.
  • Coach internal team members and oversee the work executed by the third-party provider.

Accounting Operations & Process Execution

  • Act as the main point of contact between the market, Corporate Finance, and the external provider for end-to-end process activities (AP, AR, P2P, R2R...).
  • Monitor quality, SLA/KPI adherence, and compliance of all accounting deliverables.
  • Ensure accuracy of financial data produced by the external provider and perform analyses in case of discrepancies.
  • Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, ensuring reliable and timely reporting.
  • Apply global financial policies and contribute to process standardization and documentation.

Process & Quality Improvement

  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities and propose solutions to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Support the implementation of process harmonization initiatives within the market and across GBS.
  • Facilitate the adoption of new tools, methods, and accounting standards.

Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate closely with local Finance teams, Corporate, and GBS to resolve issues and ensure alignment on priorities.
  • Communicate operational risks, escalation needs, and key updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Share best practices and foster a culture of operational excellence.

What You Need to Be Successful

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or equivalent.
  • Solid experience in accounting or accounting operations; experience with a third-party provider is a plus.
  • Strong analytical abilities and ease with financial systems and ERP tools.
  • Familiarity with process standardization and operational documentation.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority, communicate clearly, stay organized, and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Languages: Very good command of English and French and/or German.
