Application Engineer - Advanced Technical Support

United Machining is looking for a Application Engineer - Advanced Technical Support to join the team in Losone.

Your day-to-day tasks will cover:

• Provide advanced application support for EDM technologies, including test cuts, customer support, technical training and demo applications.
• Analyze, reproduce and resolve complex application issues, defining effective action plans for technical interventions when required.
• Perform on-site customer support and field interventions worldwide, including international travel when needed.
• Support technical evaluations, Factory Acceptance Tests, Site Acceptance Tests, demonstrations and benchmarking activities.
• Take ownership of core responsibilities within your area of expertise
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals
• Maintain quality standards and adhere to internal processes

We are looking for someone with:

• Technical education in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic Engineering or a related field. Candidates with a technical diploma and solid relevant experience are equally encouraged to apply.
• Good understanding of EDM processes, with hands-on experience in Wire EDM and/or Die Sinking EDM considered a strong advantage.
• Several years of experience with CNC machines, ideally including CAD/CAM programming.
• Willingness to travel internationally for on-site customer support activities
• Relevant degree and professional experience
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
