Reporting to: Head of Business Risk Management (BRM)
Role Title: Business Risk Manager
Responsibilities:
Provide support and advice to client facing teams in respect of all aspects of both internal and external regulatory requirements
Undertake 1st line of defence monitoring and controls to ensure adherence of client coverage team members to internal policies and procedures
The above includes but is not limited to:
•
Analysis and validation of transactions according to internal rules
•
Providing guidance on complex transactionsAdvising on internal policies and procedures including the practical implications on day-to-day work
•
Acting as a liaison between Client Coverage and Risk, Control and Compliance functions
•
Reviewing and advising on the most complex and/or highest risk cases as part of Client Coverage’s client periodic review obligations
•
Supporting the Head of Client Coverage in implementing and ensuring adherence to the Cross-Border and Market Purity approach of the Bank
•
Providing support and guidance to the Client Coverage teams in respect of internal rules and requirements relating to products and services
•
Undertaking ad hoc 4-eyes check-and-challenge of fee billing, adverse media and adherence of Client Coverage to pre-defined deadlines
•
Support the timely and high-quality completion of periodic reviews by Client Coverage personnel, acting as both advisor and first-line reviewer for complex and higher-risk cases
Expected Competencies & Qualifications:
•
Fluent in both French and English; additional languages are an advantage
•
Relevant university degree or other qualification (e.g. financial services, compliance or legal)
•
Able to manage multiple tasks and deliver on deadlines at pace whilst maintaining a structured, well-organised approach with high attention to detail
•
At least 3 years prior expertise in a controls, business risk management or similar role
•
Strong written and verbal communication skills, ensuring complex topics are distilled into brief but comprehensive messages that are readily understood by all colleagues
Valid working permit for Switzerland
Immediate entry date or to be discussed
