We protect companies, banks and insurance undertakings against credit and political risks, and facilitate the financing of such transactions.CREDITAND SURETY UNDERWRITER, GENEVA, SWITZERLANDWe currently have a vacant position in our Geneva team for a Credit and Surety Underwriter (m/f).About the roleAs a Credit and Surety underwriter for Credendo – Guarantees & Speciality Risks, you will join our Underwriting Team and support the development of both Single Risk and Surety Business Lines within the Swiss branch. It is designed as a growth-oriented role in a cross-functional environment allowing you to collaborate with different teams. The Single Risk activity is dedicated to customized, individual credit insurance solutions for corporates, financial institutions and traders. The Surety activity is dedicated to bonds and guarantees solutions offered to Swiss Corporates.Focus areas of this Credit and Surety underwriter position are credit risk underwriting, client management and product development.Key responsibilities>Credit analysis:You will analyze and assess a wide range of credit related risks of financial and commercial transactions. You evaluate and assess contract and performance risk.>Review of business opportunities:You identify new business opportunities originating through specialized credit and surety brokers.>Management of Insurance and Bonds proposals:You prepare and present proposals to the various credit committees.>Negotiations with brokers and other stakeholders:You find solutions that meet client needs while staying aligned with the company’s valuesand risk appetite.>Follow-up of the whole underwriting process:You proactively ensure the administration of insurance policies and bonds throughout the entire cycle—also during potential claims phases—to control or mitigate risk.Your profile> You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in economics, Finance, Law or similar> You are fluent in English and French, ideally also in German> You have strong analytical skills> You are interested in Finance, Swiss and International Economics, and in the Surety and Insurance Industry> Few years of experience in surety, credit insurance, banking industry or the credit department of an international corporate.> Already based in Switzerland or willingness to relocate> You have good interpersonal skills and are client oriented> You are a well-organized person with a particular focus on quality> You are stress resistant and able to work both in a team and on your own> You have a good command of MS Office (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, Power Point)Our offer> You will work in an international and dynamic environment> As a highly specialised company we offer jobs that provide a comprehensive insight into our business> Hybrid working (work up to 2 days a week from home)> We offer fringe benefits> Our office is in Geneva City Centre and is easily accessible by public transportationInterested?Please send your CV and motivation letter to Mr. Michael Conio atWrite an email
