Your Role
As Head Banking Products & Product Governance at Bank J. Safra Sarasin you are a hands-on leader responsible for the group-wide product governance framework and the management of banking products, ensuring regulatory compliance, operational readiness, and efficient approval processes across all product families and provide product governance leadership across the group, including the management of the Product Committee Office (PCO), the coordination of product reviews, consolidated supervision of products across all entities, and the oversight of banking product families incl. structured products.
Your Responsibilities

Lead and develop the Banking Products & Governance team (3 direct reports)

Own and manage the group-wide product approval and review process, including managing the Product Committee Office

Support of EU locations on issues related to regulatory topics such as MiFID, PSD II

Lead the consolidated supervision of products across the group, including functional management calls with subsidiaries and branches

Ensure consistent application of product governance standards, directives, and processes across all group entities

Oversee regulatory product classifications including PRIIPs scope indicator, complex/non-complex determination, compliance categories, and suitability frameworks and the Product Risk Classification

Manage the product life cycle for banking product families: structured products, FX trading, credit, deposits, lombard, cards, and related services

Coordinate cross-functional product implementation projects involving front office, operations, compliance, legal, and IT

Maintain the group-wide product inventory across all locations and entities

Act as key interface between product teams, compliance, legal, operations, risk office and IT on product governance matters
Your Profile

Higher education (university / FH) in Finance, Banking, Business Administration, or a related field

Additional qualifications in regulatory affairs, compliance, or project management are an advantage

At least 8 years of practical experience in the field of product management, product governance, or a related function within a Swiss regulated banking environment

Proven background with banking product approval processes, regulatory product classifications (PRC, PRIIPs, MiFID II target market, suitability), and product lifecycle management

Track record coordinating cross-functional projects across front office, operations, compliance, and IT

Experience with structured products, trading products, or credit products is strongly preferred

Background with consolidated supervision of products across multiple jurisdictions and entities is a significant advantage

Knowledge in the landscape of regulatory data vendors

Ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments and drive decisions through committees

Familiarity with Swiss and EU regulatory frameworks and an understanding of how products work end to end in a bank's systems and processes is required

Strong work ethics, integrity and high level of accountability

Leadership experience

Fluency in English; fluency in German is an advantage
