Discover your exciting role
As a Lead Chemical Engineer, you will lead chemical and process engineering activities for complex pharmaceutical and biotechnology facility projects. You will provide technical leadership, coordinate interdisciplinary interfaces and ensure that engineering solutions meet quality, safety, GMP and project requirements. Acting as a key point of contact for clients and project stakeholders, you will support successful project delivery from conceptual design through commissioning.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities
Lead and coordinate chemical and process engineering activities within multidisciplinary project teams
Manage project scope, budget and schedule for the assigned discipline
Serve as the primary interface between process engineering and other engineering disciplines
Develop and review process design deliverables, including process flow diagrams (PFDs), P&IDs, mass and energy balances, equipment specifications and utility concepts
Lead technical discussions and workshops with clients and project stakeholders
Facilitate and support HAZOP studies, GMP reviews, FATs and SATs
Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical industry standards, GMP requirements and applicable safety regulations
Contribute to proposals, cost estimates, man-hour calculations and technical concepts during business development activities
Drive continuous improvement of engineering standards, tools and work processes
Mentor and support the development of junior engineers and project team members
Act as a subject matter expert in areas such as process design, clean utilities, laboratory systems, simulation or manufacturing technologies
Show your expertise
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or a related engineering discipline
Minimum 7 years of experience in the design and engineering of pharmaceutical, biotechnology or life sciences facilities
Proven experience leading engineering teams and coordinating multidisciplinary projects
Strong knowledge of process design principles, facility and equipment design, GMP requirements and safety regulations
Experience across multiple project phases from concept design through detailed engineering and commissioning is preferred
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Structured and solution-oriented way of working with strong attention to detail
Fluent German or French and English language skills
