The Position
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced teacher, to work within our Bespoke Learning Support programming. Bespoke learning support programs are offered to students who require layered adaptive and intensive services to facilitate their successful inclusion in our school. They are offered to provide a personalized environment and program based on the learning profile and learning behaviors of the student to ensure maximum academic, social-emotional, behavioral, and adaptive skills growth. The successful candidate will join a team of teachers, assistant teachers and therapists providing individualized support for students, both within grade level subject classes and in a specialized setting.
Applicants should have a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in the area of Special Educational Needs and/or English as an Additional Language, working with children with a range of learning needs and disabilities across either primary and /or secondary school. Parcours professionnel of working with children with more significant learning needs and with emotional/ behavioral challenges would be an advantage.
Requirements
•
A Master’s Degree (or equivalent certification) in Special Education and a valid special education teaching credential
•
A commitment to providing high quality education for children with significant challenges
•
At least three years experience working in mainstream or special schools with students who have additional significant learning needs
•
Parcours professionnel developing, implementing and revising individual educational plans, monitoring student progress and supporting mainstream single subject teachers
•
Parcours professionnel with common educational assessments for the purpose of assessing student competency levels and/or developing individual learning plans
•
Background delivering a variety of literacy and numeracy interventions
•
Confidence with assistive technologies and using 1:1 devices
•
Commitment to ongoing professional growth, of yourself and colleagues
•
Ability to collaborate effectively with other professionals in order to support student inclusion
•
German language skills would be an advantage, but not essential.
