Union Cycliste Internationale recrute un(e) Legal and Compliance Manager (100%) - English – French a Aigle.

Founded on 14th April 1900 in Paris, the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) is the world governing body for cycling. Its mission is to develop and supervise cycling in all its forms and for everybody, as a competitive sport, as a healthy recreational activity and as a means of transport. Additionally, the UCI promotes a number of its own events, including the UCI Road World Championships, an iconic annual event, and a wide range of other UCI World Championships and World Cups across the various disciplines. It is based in Aigle, Switzerland, at the UCI World Cycling Centre.
To strengthen its Legal and Compliance Department, the UCI is looking for a:
Legal and Compliance Manager (100%) -
English – French
Mission :
Within the Legal and Compliance Department, you play a key role in institutional and governance matters, as well as in sports regulations, judicial bodies, and contract management. In doing so, you work in close collaboration with the Head of Legal and Compliance in ensuring the provision of the legal services necessary for the proper functioning of the UCI.
Keys
duties and responsabilities
:

Oversee the activities of the judicial bodies, including drafting decisions, coordinating case files handled by department staff, and managing the related budgets

Contribute to the drafting of documents relating to the governance of the UCI and its Continental Confederations, including the Statutes and other institutional documents

Oversee matters relating to the governance of the National Federations affiliated with the UCI

Participate in the negotiation, drafting, and monitoring of the implementation of various contracts (event organisation, sponsorship, media, etc.)

Contribute to the management of strategic matters relating to the organisation and regulation of cycling

Participate in the drafting of sporting regulations across the various cycling disciplines

Work closely with external counsel representing the UCI in judicial proceedings or arbitration matters.
Profil :

Law degree; admission to the bar is an asset

Minimum of 5 to 10 years of legal parcours professionnel, ideally within an international sports federation, a sports organisation, or a law firm specialising in sports law

Strong expertise in contract law, institutional governance and/or sports law

Fluent in English and French, both spoken and written

Strong negotiation skills

Natural leadership abilities and the capacity to represent the department in the absence of its Head

Excellent analytical and synthesis skills

Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines

Team-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills

Interest in sport and cycling.
