Operations Officer role within a Geneva-based FINMA-regulated digital bank, covering payments, reconciliations, corporate actions and operational controls. This is a hands-on opportunity for a rigorous banking operations professional looking to join an international financial services group in a fast-moving environment.
Operations Officer
Our client is a Geneva-based FINMA-regulated bank and part of a leading international financial services group. The bank offers retail and institutional investors access to a wide range of financial markets through advanced digital trading platforms and mobile applications.
Operating at the intersection of digital banking, financial markets and regulatory excellence, the Geneva team combines the agility of a local structure with the strength, reputation and resources of a global group. The working environment is international, collaborative and fast-paced, with offices located in the heart of Geneva.
Missions
As Operations Officer, you will support the day-to-day execution and monitoring of core banking operations. Your responsibilities will include:

Execute and monitor domestic and international payments, including SIC and SWIFT MT/MX payments

Investigate and resolve payment exceptions, returns, recalls and rejects

Liaise with correspondent banks, counterparties and internal stakeholders on payment-related queries

Perform daily reconciliations of nostro accounts, suspense accounts and clearing accounts

Support the processing and monitoring of corporate actions across different types of securities

Execute periodic operational controls in line with internal control frameworks

Document control results and investigate breaches, discrepancies or operational issues

Propose corrective actions and contribute to process improvements

Participate in risk assessments, internal audits and regulatory reviews

Ensure compliance with internal procedures, service agreements and regulatory requirements
Profil du candidat

2 to 5 years of experience in banking operations, payments or a similar operational role within financial services.

Bachelor's degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration or an equivalent qualification, together with a good understanding of payment flows, reconciliations and operational controls. Exposure to SIC, SWIFT MT/MX payments, nostro reconciliation or corporate actions would be highly relevant.

Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken, is required.

Rigorous, well-organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage several workstreams in a fast-paced environment. Proactive, reliable and comfortable interacting with internal teams, counterparties and correspondent banks.
Candidates must be authorised to work in Switzerland, either as Swiss nationals, EU/EFTA nationals or holders of a valid Swiss work permit.
