Ex engages in two programs:
Phytotechnology &amp;
Bactotechnology, leveraging&nbsp;plants and bacteria, respectively, for addressing the complex problems faced by modern production animals including aqua species, livestock, and pets.</p> <p>
Nutreco Exploration is based at Nutreco’s Garden of the Future.
Located in Switzerland’s Phytovalley near the Austrian and German border, this competence center commands state-of-the-art infrastructure and facilities enabling all activities required for the discovery and development of Phyto
Complexes and Bacto
Complexes.&nbsp;
Our Discovery capabilities on site include Program expertise, Discovery Research including biological models, Biodiversity Curation &amp; specimen management, advanced Phytochemistry and method development, and the creation and training of our proprietary algorithms, our Data Loom. </p> <p> <strong>
What you’ll do</strong> </p> <ul> <li>
Perform phytochemical analyses to support Nut
Ex production and discovery projects, ensuring reliable, accurate data for our research pipeline.</li> <li>
Execute analytical methods (including HPLC UV and HPLC MS) within our phytochemistry team.</li> <li>
Conduct quality control analyses for our plant based products, including Phyto
Complex under the EDGEOS brand.</li> <li>
Support practical laboratory work across phytotechnology projects and contribute to data evaluation.</li> <li>
Collaborate closely with scientists and technicians in an interdisciplinary research environment at our Garden of the Future site.</li> </ul> <p> <strong>
Who we’re looking for</strong> </p> <p>
You’re someone who is hands on, curious, and ready to Own this role.
You enjoy working in a discovery driven lab environment where workflows evolve as research progresses.</p> <ul> <li>
You bring a completed apprenticeship as a Laboratory Technician or a degree in Life Sciences, with practical experience in phytochemistry, natural product analytics, or HPLC based methods.&nbsp;</li> <li>
You’re confident with HPLC sample preparation, HPLC UV or HPLC MS, and you’re comfortable working with analytical software alongside Word and Excel.</li> <li>
You communicate openly, collaborate well in a team, and thrive in environments where innovation and non linear workflows are part of everyday discovery.</li> <li>
Fluency in English, German being an advantage.</li> </ul> <p>
This role will be based in Arbon, Thurgau, Switzerland.
Full-time on-site presence in our Garden of the Future site is mandatory for close collaboration with the team and access to the laboratory. <br><br></p> <p> <strong>
