It is limited to 2 years initially, with a performance-based extension of up to 5 years.

The Department of Management of the Faculty of Management, Economics and Social Sciences (SES) at the University of Fribourg, Switzerland, invites applications for a postdoctoral researcher (Maître·sse Assistant·s) in Marketing with a focus on food related marketing.
The position is funded by the Food Research and Innovation Center (FRIC) of the University of Fribourg and ed by Professor Dr.
Olivier Furrer at the Department of Management.
Vos missionsStart date:
April 2026, or to be agreed
Contract duration: 2 years (with an option to extend to 5 years)Employment rate: 100%; the salary is established according to the guidelines of the University of Fribourg

The FRIC:
Food Research and Innovation Center at the University of Fribourg, short FRIC, carries out research, teaching, and continuing education activities and provides services in food science in an interdisciplinary and independent manner.
The Food Centre is an academic and interdisciplinary platform for food science at the University of Fribourg, focusing on the sustainable use of raw materials in agriculture, research into new foodstuffs and sustainable food production, the role of the consumer, interactions of food and nutrition with mental and physical health
Profil souhaité
Interests:
You are motivated and passionate about research at the intersection of marketing and food science.
You work independently, while also thriving in an inter- and transdisciplinary team.
You feel confident leading project components and conducting workshops and outreach activities based on the research outcomes
Skills:
You are proficient in quantitative methods of data collection and analysis in the social sciences and have experience analyzing data in R or Python.
Experience with qualitative methods and/or physiological data represents an additional asset
Education:
You have obtained a PhD in marketing, management, or a closely related field
Languages:
You are proficient in English; good knowledge French is considered an additional asset
