Job description:
As Private Bank Client Manager, you will take ownership of an established portfolio of private banking relationships, with a strong focus on client servicing, retention and organic growth.
You will act as a trusted point of contact for clients and intermediaries, ensuring a consistently high level of service across their day-to-day banking and investment needs. Working closely with investment, lending, compliance, operations and relationship management teams, you will coordinate solutions across the platform and identify opportunities to deepen existing relationships.
This is a relationship-led farming role suited to someone who combines strong private banking expertise with a genuine service mindset, commercial awareness and excellent attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and deepen an existing portfolio of private banking clients and intermediary relationships, ensuring a proactive, high-touch service experience.
Build trusted long-term relationships by understanding clients’ financial needs, priorities and evolving circumstances.
Identify opportunities to grow assets under management and broaden existing relationships through relevant banking and investment solutions.
Act as a key point of contact across investments, payments, trading, liquidity, cash management and lending-related needs.
Coordinate client transactions and instructions, including securities, foreign exchange, deposits and other banking activities.
Support client onboarding and lifecycle management, including documentation, account maintenance and changes in circumstances.
Ensure KYC, AML, periodic reviews and client records are completed accurately and in line with regulatory and internal requirements.
Oversee and resolve operational matters including payments, securities transfers, settlements, corporate actions and client reporting.
Collaborate closely with investment, lending, compliance, legal, treasury, operations and execution teams to deliver appropriate client solutions.
Connect clients with relevant specialists and capabilities across the wider organisation to strengthen engagement and long-term relationship value.
About the customer:
An international private banking and wealth management firm offering highly personalised solutions to sophisticated private and intermediary clients.
Requirements:
Education:
University degree in Finance, Banking, Economics, Business Administration or a comparable discipline.
7+ years of experience
in Private Banking, Wealth Management or a comparable client-facing role within a Swiss or international financial institution.
Certified Wealth Management Advisor (CWMA)
qualification or an equivalent recognised wealth management certification.
Strong experience managing and servicing HNW/UHNW client relationships, ideally including External Asset Managers or other professional intermediaries.
Solid knowledge of private banking products and services across investments, securities, FX, cash management, payments and lending.
Strong understanding of the Swiss private banking environment, including KYC, AML and relevant regulatory requirements.
Client-focused, commercially minded and highly organised, with strong relationship-building skills, attention to detail and the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
Fluent English; German and any other language is a plus.
Please note that we can only consider candidates with EFTA citizenship and proven experience in the Swiss private banking market.
