Procurement Cluster Category Manager - Global Supply Chain (m/f/d)
As a Procurement Cluster Category Manager Global Supply Chain (m/f/d) you will lead the procurement strategy for the selected category across countries within the Central West Europe Cluster. You will act as the key link between Global Procurement teams, business stakeholders and suppliers, responsible for the following categories connected to our factories in Germany and Switzerland:
Logistics Equipment & Maintenance
Production Equipment & Maintenance
Building installations & maintenance
Production Material
Spare Parts
Position:
As the Procurement Cluster Category Manager GSC (m/f/d) you will:
be responsible for the management of procurement activities of the GSC Category within own cluster
lead and support supplier bidding processes in close cooperation with respective business partners to ensure best combination of quality, cost and service conditions
act as the category liaison for GSC and Indirect Procurement
participate in the development of Global strategy design, roll-out appropriate strategies set forth by the Global Category team, define Cluster-specific initiatives and ensure close collaboration with all cluster stakeholders
lead dedicated Category team. Oversee balanced work allocation, training/coaching needs and performance appraisal within the team and ensure achievement of set procurement targets and KPIs
identify and manage regional/local supplier pool
ensure business centricity.
participate in financial planning and deliver benefits/value within their perimeter of action.
share Category intelligence, identifies trends and opportunities within defined Category and drive ad hoc cost optimization and continuous improvement initiatives
ensure Regional/Cluster alignment and compliance with strategies
Requirements:
University degree or equivalent professional qualification
Minimum 5 years experience in procurement, sourcing or category management in similar environment in a multinational company
Ability to analyze costs, budgets and business cases
Strategic mindset with strong decision-making capabilities
Effective negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills
Leadership skills, management of internal and external parties
Proficiency in MS Office, knowledge of SAP is considered as a plus
Fluent in English, both written and spoken, German language is an asset
