We are looking for an innovative R&amp;
D engineer, who willstrengthen our efforts in developing industry leading compressorsfor turbochargerapplications.
The jobholder will function as a component owner in the compressor &amp; turbine team,being responsible for the compressoraerodynamic as well as mechanical design from pre- engineering and product development up to product maintenance and manufacturing support.

Your responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>
Design of compressors considering aerothermodynamics, mechanical integrity and materials</p> </li> <li> <p>
Responsible for compressor product validation and qualification</p> </li> <li> <p>
Support advanced concept studies on compressor topics</p> </li> <li> <p>
Shaping the Compressor Technology Roadmap</p> </li> <li> <p>
Internal interface for all product lines on compressor topics</p> </li> <li> <p>
Interfacing with internal and external test facilities for compressor test and validation topics</p> </li> <li> <p>
Support for turbine development</p> </li> </ul> <p>
Your background:</p> <ul> <li> <p>
Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent</p> </li> <li> <p>
Min. 5 years compressor development experience</p> </li> <li> <p>
Solid understanding of turbomachines</p> </li> <li> <p>
Strong Aerodynamics/Thermodynamics/Mechanical Integrity background knowledge</p> </li> <li> <p>
Experiences with 3D CFD tools and FEM</p> </li> <li> <p>
Sound knowledge in programming (Python, Matlab)</p> </li> <li> <p>
Familiar with compressor testing and validation</p> </li> <li> <p>
Open mindedness and strong interpersonal skills</p> </li> <li> <p>
Proven track record in compressor design (patents, publications)</p> </li> <li> <p>
Experience in turbine design would be a plus</p> </li> <li> <p>
Very high level of structuring and self- organization</p> </li> <li> <p>
Familiar with Microsoft Office Apps</p> </li> <li> <p>
Fluent in English and German</p> </li> </ul> <p>
