As an R&D Packaging Development Intern at Nestlé Product Technology Centre (NPTC), your mission is to support the renovation of the Nescafé Dolce Gusto capsule body and contribute to the industrialization of the NEO SACHET 2030 project. You will make a difference by collaborating closely with packaging, quality assurance and system performance teams, as well as packaging material suppliers and external partners. This is your opportunity to gain hands-on experience in packaging innovation while working on a strategic sustainability and industrialization project.
How you’ll make an impact as an R&D Packaging Development Intern
• Support the renovation of the Nescafé Dolce Gusto capsule body by contributing to packaging material evaluation, testing and documentation
• Contribute to the industrialization of the NEO SACHET 2030 project through laboratory work, pilot trials and supplier or factory testing activities
• Collaborate with packaging, quality assurance and system performance teams to ensure packaging solutions meet technical, quality and sustainability expectations
• Prepare clear presentations, test reports and technical summaries to support project decisions and stakeholder alignment
• Interact with packaging material suppliers and external partners to follow up on trials, results and next steps in an agile project environment
What will make you successful
• Fresh graduate or current student in Materials Science, Packaging, Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Interest in packaging development, sustainable materials, industrialization and hands-on testing in an R&D environment
• Good communication skills, attention to detail, curiosity and the ability to work proactively with cross-functional teams
• Strong data analytics skills, with the ability to interpret test results and translate data into clear insights. Previous experience on SPSS software is a plus
• Solid command of the MS Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis
• Fluency in English; knowledge of French is an advantage
• Demonstrating courage, collaboration, speed and continuous learning, while translating ideas into measurable impact and creating shared value
