Join our Data Products Team to build and shape the future of our enterprise data platform and data governance capabilities. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will combine deep technical expertise with leadership and stakeholder engagement to deliver scalable data solutions that drive business value. You will play a key role in establishing data governance practices, mentoring colleagues, and guiding business stakeholders towards effective data-driven decision-making.
Job Description
Design and optimise scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using Snowflake, ensuring reliable, high-quality data for analytics and business reporting.
Take a leading technical role in advancing our data governance capabilities, promoting best practices for data quality or master data management.
Collaborate with data architects, product managers, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver sustainable data solutions aligned with business objectives.
Coach and support business users and data owners in adopting data governance principles and leveraging enterprise data effectively.
Mentor fellow data engineers, foster technical excellence, and drive continuous improvement across data platforms, processes, and standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with
5+ years of experience
in data engineering, ETL/ELT development, data modelling, and modern data platforms.
Strong proficiency in SQL and Python, with the ability to design scalable, maintainable, and high-performing data solutions.
Extensive hands-on experience with Snowflake, DBT, and Azure, combined with a solid understanding of data warehousing and cloud architectures.
Strong knowledge of data governance, data quality management, and enterprise data management practices.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, coaching, and mentoring skills, with fluent English; German is an advantage.
