For our client Swisscom, a leading Swiss telecommunications organisation, Swisslinx is seeking an experienced Senior Golang & Kubernetes Platform Engineer to develop and operate business-critical cloud-native platforms.

Job description:
Develop and maintain Golang-based backend services used to orchestrate multiple Kubernetes distributions
Design and implement REST APIs, GraphQL interfaces and system integrations
Build frontend components using React and Material UI
Develop workflow automation and orchestration capabilities with Temporal
Build, maintain and optimise CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, Docker and Kubernetes
Implement and improve monitoring, logging and alerting for cloud-based services
Work with PostgreSQL, MongoDB and Kafka
Automate provisioning, configuration and deployments using Ansible, Helm and Kustomize
Take end-to-end responsibility for business-critical platforms in a “you build it, you run it” environment
Participate in an on-call rotation
About the customer:
This is a long-term contracting opportunity based in Zurich, offering a hybrid working model. You will join an experienced engineering team working with modern Kubernetes and OpenShift technologies across internal platform initiatives and complex enterprise projects.
Requirements:
Degree or recognised qualification in computer science, software engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
Several years of professional software-development experience, with strong hands-on expertise in Golang
Proven experience developing cloud-native applications and services
Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, Git, GitLab CI/CD and modern DevOps practices
Experience with React and Material UI
Good knowledge of REST APIs, GraphQL and OpenID Connect
Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB and Kafka
Practical knowledge of Ansible, Helm and Kustomize
Ability to understand established systems and codebases quickly and contribute from the outset
Independent, pragmatic and solution-oriented approach to complex technical challenges
Strong collaboration skills and willingness to share knowledge
English and German at B2 level or above
Residence in Switzerland and willingness to participate in on-call duties
Compensation benefits:
Our client can offer the following:
Start date: 1 September 2026 (or by agreement)
Initial contract: Until 30 June 2027 (via Swisslinx on labour leasing basis)
Workload: 80–100%
Location: Zurich
Hybrid working: Up to two remote-working days per week following onboarding
Contract extension: Possible
