Job description:
•
Analyse existing data structures and map them to a target enterprise data model
•
Design and implement
Kafka-based data products
•
Define
event models, data contracts and topic structures
•
Develop and integrate streaming data solutions using
Apache Kafka
•
Work with
Kafka Streams, ksqlDB or Apache Flink
•
Support the full automated data operations lifecycle, including development, deployment, validation and observability
•
Apply best practices for event-driven architectures and real-time data platforms
•
Work with
Kubernetes
and modern container-based deployment environments
•
Use and integrate
Elasticsearch / Elastic Search
for search-related data use cases
•
Collaborate closely with data architects, engineers and platform teams
About the customer:
We are currently looking for an experienced
Senior Kafka / Streaming Data Engineer
for an exciting long-term project in Zurich. The role is focused on the design, implementation and integration of
Kafka-based data products
within a modern data platform environment.

Requirements:
•
Strong hands-on background with
Apache Kafka
•
Expert knowledge in at least one of the following:
Kafka Streams, ksqlDB or Apache Flink
•
Solid understanding of
event-driven architecture
, streaming data and real-time data processing
•
Parcours professionnel with
data products, data contracts, event modelling and topic design
•
Good knowledge of
Kubernetes
•
Strong experience with
Elasticsearch / Elastic Search
•
Parcours professionnel in automated data operations: develop, deploy, validate and observe
•
Ability to work independently in a senior engineering role
•
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
•
Excellent English communication skills
