In this key position, you will act as a trusted advisor to senior management and cross-functional stakeholders on all legal and regulatory compliance matters throughout the product life cycle. You will play a pivotal role in shaping, implementing, and continuously improving the organisation's compliance framework, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements while supporting commercial objectives.

Description

Provide strategic legal advice on complex regulatory and compliance matters to senior leadership and key stakeholders

Monitor, interpret, and assess the impact of existing and emerging regulations, particularly in product, packaging, sustainability, and supply chain areas

Design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive compliance framework, including policies, procedures, and governance structures

Develop and update internal policies, codes of conduct, and compliance standards

Conduct compliance risk assessments, gap analyses, and control reviews

Maintain compliance risk registers and define appropriate mitigation measures

Support regulatory considerations in new products, projects, and strategic initiatives

Manage relationships with external advisors and legal counsel

Support and lead internal investigations and compliance reviews where required

Develop and deliver training programs and actively promote a strong culture of ethics and compliance across the organisation
Profile

Qualified lawyer (or equivalent legal qualification) with significant post-qualification background

Strong background in legal compliance and regulatory advisory within an international and regulated environment

Proven experience in product-related regulations, including packaging, sustainability, and supply chain compliance (essential)

Demonstrated ability to design and implement compliance frameworks and governance structures

Strong commercial acumen with a pragmatic, business-oriented approach

Experience conducting risk assessments and advising on mitigation strategies

Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to communicate effectively across functions and seniority levels

High level of integrity and commitment to fostering a strong compliance culture

Fluent in English; additional languages are an asset
