Your role
In this role you will:
Design, secure funding for, coordinate, contribute to and lead research and development projects in midwifery and sexual and reproductive health. You will liaise closely with the head of the research unit, take responsibility for project budgets and lead project teams.
Help shape the strategic development of the research & development unit and strengthen the internal and external knowledge transfer as well as the national and international visibility of the institute. This will be reflected in your interdisciplinary collaboration, scientific publications, conference presentations and accessible science communication.
Take responsibility for modules within the MSc Midwifery programme. You will design, plan, deliver, evaluate and ensure the quality of profession-specific and interprofessional modules. To that end, you will develop scientifically sound module objectives, teaching content, didactic formats and assessment methods at EQF level 7.
Teach classes in the MSc Midwifery programme and, where required, in the BSc Midwifery. You will systematically integrate the latest research findings, blended learning, e-learning and the considered use of artificial intelligence into your teaching and learning environments.
Provide expert guidance to students on their master's theses, develope and evaluate assessments, and conduct resit examinations in accordance with the applicable quality and AI guidelines.
Support the programme director in the strategic, organisational, curricular and didactic development of the MSc Midwifery programme. You will contribute to the further development of module curricula, quality assurance and AI integration, and actively represent the programme within the professional community.
Your profile
You hold a PhD in midwifery, psychology, health sciences, social sciences or a related field. Your scientific expertise focuses on midwifery care and/or sexual and reproductive health.
You have successfully developed, secured funding for, conducted and led research projects, and are experienced in project planning, coordination and implementation.
You have proven expertise in quantitative research methods and confidently apply health or social science methods, with nuance and a strong commitment to quality.
You have experience in higher education teaching, ideally at master's level, and have completed a continuing education qualification in higher education didactics or a comparable qualification.
The following would be advantageous:
A recognised midwifery qualification as well as a sound understanding of the field's professional practice and current challenges facing the profession.
Several years of professional experience as a midwife or other relevant professional experience outside the higher education sector.
Enthusiasm for creatively developing and implementing innovative research projects, teaching formats and sustainable solutions.
Experience in inter- and transdisciplinary collaboration, as well as the willingness to productively combine different profession-specific and practice-based perspectives.
