This individual will lead moderate to large-scale projects, balancing technical depth with business impact. They would be part of a team that implements software solutions for computing, improving & checking tooth morphology & implant data in the world of dentistry.This is a hybrid position which requires working in our Zurich office at least one day per week.Key Responsibilities* Plan, design, implement, test, and deploy end-to-end services - owning the full lifecycle from architecture through production - focused on generating tooth morphologies using geometric algorithms and machine learning.* Actively write and review production code, shipping features across the stack and owning the technical details that make them successful.* Maintain and improve service deployments, including build, release, and operational tooling.* Own CI/CD pipelines for the team's services: reliability, speed, quality gates, and developer experience.* Partner with architects and DevOps/SRE to optimize performance, scalability, observability, and cost.* Drive technical implementations for seamless realization of business needs.* Lead and perform implementation of epics containing multiple features, ensuring effective story breakdown.* Contribute to epic refinement to ensure clear feature story definition.* Responsible for system performance, security, and reliability of major components.* Present technical strategies to teams and stakeholders.* Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment on technical decisions.* Drive team-wide improvements and mentor junior engineers.* Guide team members in implementing best practices and maintaining code quality.Qualifications:Education:* Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant fields, or relevant strong industry experience.Years and Type of Experience:* 5+ years of software engineering experience.* Experience with cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices with a track record of shipping and operating production services end-to-end (experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a plus).* Strong experience building backend/services in C++ (required). Go is a plus; Flutter/Dart a plus for UI/client work if relevant.* Proven experience owning deployments and CI/CD pipelines (build/test automation, release workflows, quality gates, observability basics).* Demonstrated ability to lead delivery of multi-feature epics: breaking down work, driving technical approach, coordinating across engineers, and delivering on time while remaining hands-on in implementation.* Experience collaborating on and influencing architecture (tradeoffs, scalability, maintainability), without requiring formal architect/manager responsibilities.* Hands-on technical leadership through mentoring (pairing, reviews) and driving continuous improvements to engineering practices.Key Skills, Knowledge & Capabilities:* Expert C++ (modern C++ preferred).* Docker & Kubernetes (production experience)* Strong system design & coding (hands-on delivery)* CI/CD ownership and DevOps/SRE collaboration* Technical leadership & mentoring (hands on senior engineer)* Knowledge of Machine Learning / AI is advantageous (applied/production is a plus).* AliCloud experience (nice to have)* Good knowledge of English, both written and spoken.
