Sport Teacher – Girls’ Section
For August 2026, Institut Le Rosey is seeking a full-time Permanent Sport Teacher (100%) for the Girls’ Section, integrated into the Sport Department and reporting to the Head of Sport. The position is based on the Rolle campus and, during the winter term, on the Gstaad campus, in accordance with the school’s sports organisation.
The candidate must be able to teach Sports in both languages (French/English) in a way that supports students in achieving academic excellence. They should be capable of stimulating students’ learning, guiding their academic and personal development while fostering diversity and a culture of excellence.
Le Rosey is a boarding school, and the position is residential. Accommodation on campus is provided, along with attractive working conditions. The successful candidate will also be expected to take an active role in boarding life, fully contributing to the well-being and growth of our students.
A. Duties and Responsibilities
1. Sports Teaching
•
Teaching junior sport and afternoon sport activities
•
Planning and delivering high-quality sessions with a strong focus on team sports, including: football, volleyball, basketball and netball
•
Contributing to the development and supervision of girls’ teams, including training sessions, fixtures and varity competitions
2. Sports Activities and Competitions
•
Collaboration in the planning and coordination of the girls’ sports calendar
•
Participation in internal and external sports competitions and events
•
Active involvement in the winter term sports programme in Gstaad
•
Background in winter sports, particularly skiing/snowboarding is considered a strong asset
3. Contribution to School Life
•
Participation in supervision duties, meetings and school events
•
Active engagement in the cultural, sporting and recreational life of the Rosey community
•
B. Boarding and Residential Duties – Girls’ Campus
•
Full involvement in the Girls’ Boarding Programme
•
Weekday and weekend boarding duties according to the rota
•
Residential position with accommodation provided on campus in a teacher’s apartment
•
Commitment to comply with and enforce the Institute’s Codes, regulations and guidelines
•
C. Profile and Qualifications
•
Qualified Sport Teacher : BA and/or MA Degree Physical Education and Sport
•
Proven experience in teaching team sports - Minimum 2 years
•
EPS – French Baccalaureate qualification : strong advantage
•
Experience in skiing and winter sports preferred
•
Languages: English and French required; German is a significant asset
•
Ability to integrate fully into the life of an international boarding school
•
Boarding experience with children aged 12 to 18
•
Driving license – cat B
•
First aid certificate must be up to date
•
