As an SPX Data & AI Innovation Intern at Nestlé Research & Development, your mission is to support building the future SPX knowledge ecosystem through dashboards, connected data and Artificial Intelligence. You will support the Sensory & Product Experience (SPX) Digital & AI roadmap by improving data accessibility, developing innovative digital solutions, and accelerating insight generation across product innovation projects.
Working closely with Sensory & Product Experience experts, data engineers and innovation teams, you will help transform complex datasets into actionable knowledge while gaining hands-on experience at the intersection of sensory science, consumer understanding, data science, and AI.
How you’ll make an impact as a SPX Data & AI Innovation Intern
• Develop and enhance SPX Dashboards to improve visibility, accessibility, and use of sensory and consumer data across teams.
• Connect and explore multiple data sources, including Methods of Preparation (MOP), Key Sensory Attributes (KSA), Sensory Profiles, Claims, Global Sensory Mapping (GSM), Consumer Research, and Market Insights.
• Create impactful data visualizations and translate complex data into meaningful business insights.
• Support the development of AI-powered solutions and knowledge systems that improve information retrieval and insight generation.
• Collaborate with sensory scientists, consumer insight experts, and digital specialists to accelerate product renovation and innovation.
What will make you successful
• Bachelor’s or Master’s student, or recent graduate, in Data Science, Statistics, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Food Science, or a related field
• Strong interest in data, digital technologies, consumer experience, sensory and product innovation
• Comfortable working with data and translating complex information into meaningful insights
• Academic or previous work experience with Power BI or similar visualization tools, and Version Control Sytems (like Github)
• Programming skills in Python or R
• Experience with AI-enabled tools, knowledge systems, or data exploration platforms is an advantage
• Strong analytical thinking, curiosity, collaboration, and communication skills
• Fluency in English (written and spoken)
• Demonstrating courage, collaboration, speed and continuous learning, while translating ideas into measurable impact and creating shared value.
