As an SPX Data Analytics Intern at Nespresso, your mission will be to transform sensory and product experience data into actionable learning for coffee innovation.
You will support the collection, preparation, analysis, modelling, visualisation and documentation of large datasets while contributing to a predictive modelling project using machine learning. Working closely with the SPX Insight Specialist, SPX Data Specialist and partners across R&D, Marketing, Consumer & Market Intelligence, E-commerce and IT, you will gain hands-on experience at the intersection of data science, consumer insights and coffee innovation.
How you’ll make an impact as an SPX Data Analytics Intern
• Prepare, analyse, model sensory and product experience (SPX) data in order to develop a predictive model using machine learning to generate clear and useful insights
• Support KPI reporting and create effective dashboards and visualisations using tools such as Power BI or KNIME
• Perform data-quality checks and help improve the efficiency, reproducibility and traceability of data-management activities
• Contribute to the testing and continuous improvement of data tools while documenting your methods, findings and recommendations
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical partners and present your findings clearly to the SPX team and broader R&D stakeholders
What will make you successful
• Currently completing a Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Engineering, Consumer Science, Sensory Science or a related field
• Data science and coding skills, with practical knowledge of Python or R. Experience (work or academic) with Snowflake, Power BI, KNIME or similar tools and platforms is an advantage
• Hands-on experience preparing, analysing, modelling and visualising datasets through academic or practical projects
• Ability to interpret data and communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Curious, analytical and detail-oriented, with a proactive and solution-focused approach
• Fluent in English. French or another language is an advantage
• Demonstrating courage, collaboration, speed and continuous learning, while translating ideas into measurable impact and creating shared value
