How you can make a difference
:
Management Responsibilities
Lead and develop the Risk Management team, including staffing, task planning, and professional development
Ensure that the team delivers high-quality risk analyses, takes well-founded decisions, and maintains consistent, audit-ready documentation
Establish working practices that enable transparent reasoning, realistic risk evaluation, and traceable documentation
Contribute to improving and digitalizing risk management processes, tools, and data structures
Professional Leadership
Own and continuously improve the risk management process in accordance with ISO 14971 throughout the entire product lifecycle
Consolidate and assess risk-relevant inputs from R&D, Usability, Clinical, Quality, and other relevant functions
Ensure that risk control decisions are justified, traceable, and compliant with applicable regulatory requirements
Guide cross-functional project teams to effectively integrate risk management considerations into design, development, and lifecycle decisions
Build strong cross-functional relationships and leverage excellent stakeholder management and communication skills to enable aligned, risk-based decision-making
Provide training, coaching, and pragmatic leadership to foster a practical and responsible risk mindset across the organization
Apply sound judgment, holistic thinking, and confident decision-making to balance product, patient, business, and regulatory considerations
That's what you bring along
:
Master's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Natural Sciences or related field
Practical experience applying risk management (ISO 14971) throughout the medical device lifecycle.
Solid understanding of relevant standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 14971, ISO 13485, MDR, IEC 62304, IEC 62366-1, ISO 60601-1, ISO 10993-1/18562)
Leadership experience in developing and empowering teams including direct and indirect reports
Several years of experience in the medical device industry with a strong technical foundation
Very good German and English skills
