You will advise and support executive management, managers, and employees and actively contribute to the prevention of occupational accidents, health risks, and environmentally relevant incidents. The objective is to establish a sustainable safety culture and to ensure compliance with legal and internal requirements.\nThe role is based in Witterswil, Solothurn (Basel Area), Switzerland, with good public transport connection (Tram 10) and free car parking.\nHow You’ll Make an Impact:\n•\nAdvising and supporting executive management, managers, and employees in all matters relating to occupational safety, health protection, and environmental protection\n•\nDeveloping, implementing, and continuously improving company-wide HSE policies, safety concepts, and management systems in compliance with legal and normative requirements\n•\nEnsuring compliance with applicable legal regulations in the areas of occupational safety, health protection, and environmental law (in particular in accordance with Swiss legislation)\n•\nConducting risk assessments as well as investigating occupational accidents and near misses, including deriving, implementing, and monitoring appropriate protective and preventive measures\n•\nPlanning and conducting internal audits, safety inspections, training sessions, as well as emergency and evacuation drills for employees and managers\n•\nDeveloping HSE key performance indicators, preparing regular management reports including trend analyses, and maintaining required documentation for internal and external audits and certifications\n•\nActively promoting a sustainable safety culture: raising awareness of HSE topics among all employees, embedding safety as a core company value, and fostering an open reporting and learning culture\n•\nAssuming the role of Safety Officer (SiBe) in accordance with EKAS requirements\n•\nClose collaboration with Innovation, production staff, HR, managers, and external specialist bodies (e.g. SUVA, EKAS, safety specialists, occupational physicians)\nQualifications:\n•\nCompleted scientific or technical basic education (BSc or MSc) or solid technical vocational training (e.g. in an industrial, craft, or technical environment) required for assessing occupational and safety risks\n•\nFurther training as a Safety Officer (e.g. EKAS-recognised qualification, SiBe, SiFa) is an advantageIf this qualification is not yet available, willingness to complete the relevant training on a part-time basis during employment\n•\nSeveral years of professional experience in a comparable HSE role\n•\nIn-depth knowledge of Swiss occupational safety, health protection, and environmental legislation\n•\nBasic knowledge of occupational medicine and its relevance to workplace safety\n•\nVery good German skills (spoken and written) and very good English skills; French is an advantage\n•\nStrong analytical skills and a structured, solution-oriented working style\n•\nHigh sense of responsibility, initiative, and assertiveness\n•\nExcellent communication skills across all hierarchical levels\n•\nVery good PC skills (MS Office; experience with HSE or management systems is an advantage)\n•\nSwiss or EU citizen or have a C Swiss resident permit\nWhat’s in it For You:\n•\nA responsible and varied role with high visibility and impact\n•\nOpportunity to actively shape and further develop the company’s safety and prevention culture\n•\nSupport for professional development and further training (e.g. SiBe training)\n•\nModern working conditions and a respectful, appreciative working environment\n•\nEntry date with immediate effect or by mutual agreement.\n•\n24 days of holidays, 6 additional flex days, and possibility of extra holidays.\n•\nAt Ecolab we are committed to providing working environments where everyone is included and treated fairly and with respect\nAbout Ecolab:\nAt Ecolab, we prioritize our talent-first philosophy by creating the most capable and diverse team to excel at our nearly three million customer sites.
