Responsibilities
Compliance and Risk Officer - Captive and Insurance Management (Switzerland)
We are looking for an experienced Compliance and Risk Officer to join our Captive and Insurance Management (ACIM) team in Switzerland on a full-time basis. The Compliance and Risk management team provides risk and compliance services to client entities to ensure they remain compliant with legal and regulatory requirements.
This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a dedicated team who are responsible for the day-to-day management of Captive clients.
Aon's Captive and Insurance Management team is an integral part of Aon's global operations. Our 500 + captive insurance professionals manage over 1,000 captive insurance companies across 39 locations around the globe. Aon Insurance Managers Switzerland provides tailor made services to its captive (re)insurance clients in Switzerland.
This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually from home and from either our Neuchâtel, Nyon or Zurich office.

What the day will look like
Reporting to the Switzerland Office leader with dotted line to ACIM Chief Risk Officer
Advise clients on regulatory requirements and interact with supervisory authorities in Switzerland and Liechtenstein
Monitor regulatory deadlines and ensure compliance with applicable regulations, circulars and guidelines issued by the FINMA and FMA
Ensure consistency of standards and practices across Liechtenstein and Switzerland managed clients in line with Aon group policies, guidelines and standards.
Perform compliance and risk management reporting required for the purposes of board meeting, including but not limited to regulatory updates, updating of the risk register, and other reporting
Review of internal policies and guidelines, maintain compliance records that are up to date and easily accessible and provide support with KYC/ due diligence
Carry out Fit and Proper Assessments and Own Risk Solvency Assessment (ORSA) by initiating the process, following up upon outstanding responses and collating the results for presentation to board members
Implement new policies or procedures required as a result of new regulatory requirements
Preparation the annual regulatory reporting such as SFCR, RSR, ORSA, DORA and monitor the submissions of the quarterly reporting
Compile information requested by Internal auditors or Supervisory bodies and assist the team with follow up recommendations
Act as the designated Compliance Officer or Risk Officer for selected managed entities, fulfilling these responsibilities in accordance with applicable regulations and Aon standards.
Maintain a strong relationship
with all colleagues as well as the Group Compliance Team and deliver relevant training and identify improvements to policies and procedures
Skills and experience that will lead to success
The ideal candidate will be a risk and compliance professional who has a dedicated management approach, the ability to develop good working relationships within the Aon network and client industry and will be client orientated with an innovative mindset. The following experience is required:
Relevant qualifications include compliance and risk certifications and financial services-related qualifications
Proven experience in a compliance and risk function and knowledge of regulatory regimes in Switzerland and/or Liechtenstein
Be professionally qualified in either of Risk Management, Insurance or Law
Have a proven understanding of Swiss and Liechtenstein insurance regulatory environment
Have strong understanding and hands-on experience of the Swiss Solvency and/or Solvency II regime
Have completed or a willingness to complete compliance and risk management certifications
A self-starter, with strong interpersonal skills, a strong team ethic, and ability to prioritise
Team player with a positive mindset
Self-motivator with proactive attitude to project delivery
3 - 5 years of experience in risk-, compliance and internal Control System in the (Re)Insurance-Industry and some prior experience with captive management would be highly desirable
Mother tongue German is preferred and/or French, excellent verbal and written English is essential.
