Help organisations stay one step ahead of cyber threats
Cyber attacks are no longer a question of if, but when. While prevention remains important, organisations increasingly rely on their ability to detect threats early, respond effectively, and recover quickly.
At Deloitte, we help some of Switzerland's largest and most critical organisations build and transform their cyber defence capabilities. From designing Cyber Defence Centres and Security Operations Centres to improving incident response, deploying security technologies, and exploring AI-enabled security operations, we help our clients strengthen their resilience against an ever-evolving threat landscape.
If you are passionate about cyber defence, enjoy solving complex challenges, and want to work at the intersection of strategy, operations, and technology, this is the opportunity for you.
How you can make an impact
As a Cyber Detect & Respond Advisor, you will work alongside experienced cyber professionals to help clients prepare for, detect, respond to, and recover from cyber threats and attacks.
You will:
Assess and improve cyber defence capabilities, including Security Operations Centres (SOC), Cyber Defence Centres (CDC), Incident Response, Threat Intelligence, Threat Hunting, and Vulnerability Management
Help clients design practical and effective cyber defence strategies, operating models, governance structures, and transformation roadmaps
Design, implement, configure, and optimise cyber defence technologies such as SIEM, EDR, NDR, Threat Intelligence, and Vulnerability Management platforms
Support the development of detection use cases, monitoring capabilities, automation workflows, and security operations processes
Conduct cyber defence assessments, maturity reviews, and benchmarking exercises to identify improvement opportunities
Support incident response readiness activities, including playbook development, tabletop exercises, and crisis preparedness initiatives
Evaluate emerging technologies and help clients understand how innovations such as AI-powered security operations can enhance detection and response capabilities
Work closely with specialists across Deloitte to deliver integrated cyber security solutions that create measurable value for clients
Contribute to business development, thought leadership, and the continued growth of Deloitte's Detect & Respond practice

Familiarity with technologies such as Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, XSIAM, CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender, SentinelOne, Cortex XDR, EDR, NDR, SIEM, or similar solutions
Understanding of modern threat actors, attack techniques, and cyber defence best practices
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders
Curiosity, drive, and a desire to continuously learn and develop
Additional experience that is valued:
Experience working in a Security Operations Centre (SOC), Cyber Defence Centre (CDC), CSIRT, or Incident Response team
Exposure to AI-enabled security operations, security automation, detection engineering, or threat validation
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, GCIH, GCIA, GCFA, SC-200, AZ-500, or equivalent
