Founded on 14th April 1900 in Paris, the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) is the world governing body for cycling. Its mission is to develop and supervise cycling in all its forms and for everybody, as a competitive sport, as a healthy recreational activity and as a means of transport and having fun. Additionally, the UCI promotes a number of its own events, including the UCI Road World Championships, an iconic annual event, and a wide range of other UCI World Championships and World Cups across the various disciplines. It is based in Aigle, Switzerland, at the UCI World Cycling Centre.To support its Legal Service, the UCI is looking for a:Legal Counsel (100%)English - FrenchMain responsibilities:Contract management: drafting and reviewing commercial contracts (sponsorship, media rights, licensing) and event-related contracts (hosting agreements, service providers)Management of insurance programme: review of event-related insurances and management of claimsManagement of UCI trademark protection programme (UCI logo and rainbow trademark)Management of debt recovery proceduresDrafting, review and update of regulations applicable to the different disciplines of the UCIManagement of UCI and UCI WCC’s commercial registry publicationsLegal research and drafting of various memosClose collaboration with other departments of the UCI: advice on application of UCI Regulations and management of disputes involving stakeholders of cyclingSupport to the Head of Legal and Compliance on various subjects.Profile:Holder of a law degreeWorking experience as a legal counsel (2 years minimum)Outstanding command of French and English, both written and spokenWorking experience in sports administration an assetAbility to synthesise and analyseAbility to communicate and share information effectivelyOrganised, thorough and able to work under pressureAbility to set priorities and comply with deadlinesKeen sense of service and confidentialityTeam spiritGood computer skillsInterest in cycling and sport in generalHolder of bar exam an asset.Start date : immediately or to be agreedJoining us is an opportunity to be part of current affairs in sports and to contribute to the success of the UCI World Cycling Centre.
