We are looking for an experienced and hands-on
Senior Accountant / Accounting Team Lead
who combines strong accounting expertise with leadership, ownership and a passion for building reliable finance processes.
This role is a key position within our Accounting organization. The person will lead and support the Accounting Team, ensure high-quality financial operations and play an important role as a
Finance Key User / Key Contributor in our upcoming SAP S/4HANA implementation
.

Your Responsibilities
•
Lead, support and further develop the Accounting Team in daily operations, closing activities and process improvements
•
Take ownership of key accounting processes across general ledger, accounts payable, payments, reconciliations, accruals and reporting
•
Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals, payroll postings, freight cost accruals, tax accruals, currency revaluation and intercompany postings
•
Prepare and review trial balance, balance sheet and profit & loss information for Controlling, Finance and Management Reporting
•
Oversee reporting activities, including finance reports, management reports and consolidated reporting input
•
Coordinate and review accounts payable processes, payment runs, internal transfers and intercompany payments
•
Ensure reliable reconciliation of bank accounts, accounts payable, accounts receivable, VAT accounts, accrual accounts and other balance sheet positions
•
Manage and review VAT-related processes for Switzerland, Germany and Italy, including Intrastat coordination and collaboration with external advisors
•
Prepare and coordinate documentation for external audits, tax audits, VAT audits and social security audits
•
Act as a central contact person for auditors, tax advisors, Controlling, Finance and internal stakeholders
•
Drive transparency, standardization and process discipline within the Accounting function
•
Identify improvement opportunities and support the development of a more scalable, future-ready Finance & Accounting organization
•
Act as a key Finance representative in the upcoming SAP S/4HANA implementation, including process design, data quality, documentation, testing, migration support and user readiness
•
Support the team through change, ensuring clear responsibilities, clean workflows and strong digital foundations for the future
Your Profile
•
Several years of professional experience in accounting, ideally in an international industrial or manufacturing environment
•
Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, accounts payable, VAT, month-end and year-end closing processes
•
Parcours professionnel in leading, coordinating or developing an accounting team
•
Solid understanding of reconciliations, accruals, intercompany postings and financial reporting
•
Background with VAT topics in Switzerland, Germany and/or Italy is a strong advantage
•
Strong process mindset with interest in digitalization, ERP implementation and continuous improvement
•
ERP experience is required; SAP expertise and/or SAP S/4HANA project exposure is a strong advantage
•
Structured, accurate and hands-on working style with a high level of ownership
•
Strong communication skills and the ability to work confidently with internal and external stakeholders
•
Very good English skills are required due to the international reporting environment
•
German skills are an advantage
•
High level of integrity, confidentiality and accountability
