About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Technical Payments Consultant to join our team based in Baden, Switzerland. The role requires hands-on behavior with deep technical expertise combined with the ability to work closely with clients, particularly their AML and payments teams, to support configuration, tuning, and optimization of screening solutions.
Key Responsibilities
•
Implement, configure, and support payment transaction screening solutions, with a primary focus on AML and sanctions screening.
•
Act as a trusted technical adviser to client AML and payments teams and support them in tuning screening logic and algorithms, explaining impacts such as false positives and false negatives.
•
Perform hands-on technical activities including Linux access, log file analysis, SFTP configuration, and system integrations (MQ, REST APIs).
•
Lead technical investigations and product improvements from client-reported issues, providing root-cause analysis and resolution guidance.
Required Skills & Expertise
•
Good knowledge of payment transaction processing, screening and AML environments.
•
Working knowledge of Linux / Unix environments and databases (SQL) and expertise in technical application integrations using SFTP, REST API, MQ etc.
•
Hands-on and solution focused person who can explain complex technical and risk-related topics clearly to clients.
•
Fluency in English and German is required, with proficiency in French and/or Italian considered an advantage.
Education & Experience
•
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Economics, or equivalent experience.
•
Strong, demonstrated experience within financial services, banking, payments, or regulated fintech environments.
Working Model & Additional Requirements
•
Hybrid working model with a minimum of two days per week on-site in Baden.
•
Participation in on-call rotation, including potential weekday evenings and weekends.
•
Occasional travel within Switzerland for client trainings and workshops.
