Shipping Specialist
Your Mission
Manage import/export operations, including shipment coordination, order processing, and transport documentation to ensure timely deliveries. Optimize logistics through carrier coordination and process improvement while ensuring compliance with international regulations and supporting departmental development.
Your responsibilities
•
Assist the Head of the Import/Export Department in the day-to-day organization of shipments.
•
Order processing: ensure import and export operations by preparing documents, scheduling transport, and ensuring deliveries.
•
Ensure after-sales deliveries within 24 hours.
•
Retrieve items based on invoices or shipping lists, verify quantities and item types, and prepare them for shipment.
•
Create processes and instructions related to the shipping department.
•
Participate in negotiations with carriers and prepare price lists.
•
Ensure best practices in transport (Incoterms, dual-use goods, etc.).
•
Compliance: ensure adherence to safety standards, quality control measures, and regulatory requirements, including proper handling of hazardous materials when applicable.
•
Participate in company and transport department development projects.
Your experience and skills
•
Master’s degree in Logistics, Transport, or a related field.
•
Strong knowledge of customs regulations and international trade.
•
Excellent command of French and English (spoken and written); German is an asset.
•
Minimum 2 years of experience in an import/export department within a manufacturing environment.
•
Solid understanding of Incoterms, customs procedures, and international logistics.
•
Comfortable communicating with transport providers and internal logistics teams.
•
Excellent organizational, multitasking, and prioritization skills.
•
Ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt to last-minute changes.
•
Rigorous, pragmatic, and empathetic approach.
