Team Leader Engineering Advanced Industrials
As a member of the business unit Advanced Industrials, you are responsible for developing products for the global vacuum market. These products are, for example, key elements in future power generation and storage ("nuclear fusion"), in research of the smallest and largest structures in the universe ("accelerators", "gravitational waves") or in scientific instruments ("electron microscope", "mass spectrometers").
Together with the product managers, project managers, supply chain managers and quality engineers, you will lead our products to a technical and commercial success.
YOUR CHALLENGES
- Responsibility for engineering in product developments, product customizations and product sustainment in the owned product portfolios
- Managing of a design- and development-engineering team (recruiting, training, coaching, capacity management,...)
- Assigning, directing and evaluating of design and development work and supporting project teams with technical expertise
- Reviewing and approving of concepts, designs and changes
- Developing and implementing of policies, standards and procedures for the corporate engineering teams
- Supporting product management in the development of the product portfolio roadmap
- Analysing technology and resource needs based on market inputs, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects
YOUR COMPETENCIES
- Completed education in mechanical engineering / precision engineering / mechatronics (Bachelor or comparable)
- Profound knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in product development and product customization; including blueprints, drawings, models, and testing
- Profound project management skills in an international acting company
- Strong communication skills and advanced technical English skills written and spoken
- Knowledge about machinery directive and ISO class regulations
- Agile mindset and knowledge about agile principles bo be able to navigate and engage in a cross discipline, agile team set-up
- Experience in vacuum industry is an advantage
- Willingness to travel internationally (approx. 15%)
