We are seeking a qualified Global Consumer Director (f/m/d) to strengthen our global marketing team. You will report to the VP of Global Marketing. The position is located in Switzerland and requires significant travel across Europe and the US (approximately 40%).\nAbout the role\nAs Global Consumer Director, you will lead the development and execution of Bavarian Nordic's global consumer engagement strategy, bringing our culture and values to life through every initiative. You will drive impactful patient-focused campaigns that build awareness, strengthen engagement, and support adherence across both digital and non-digital channels. Working across markets and functions, you will ensure a cohesive and meaningful consumer experience that delivers value to patients and supports our business objectives.\nThis is a role that combines strategic thinking with operational execution.\nKey Responsibilities:\nIdentify critical moments and barriers in the patient journey, designing content and programs to address unmet consumers' needs\nTranslate brand objectives into data-driven, full-funnel media strategies that engage consumers throughout their journey\nPartner with Insights, Global Brand Management, Global Digital and local teams to uncover insights, validate opportunities, and optimize marketing investments.\nBuild global consumer guidelines and core claims documentation to ensure consistency and excellence across markets and channels\nManage agency partnerships and oversee consumer marketing budgets, ensuring efficient investment and measurable business impact\nCompile and manage the global Consumer budget, challenging activities and priorities to ensure optimal allocation of resources and maximum return on investment\nWhat you bring\nSuccess in this role requires a strategist who is equally comfortable challenging the status quo and rolling up their sleeves to solve operational challenges. You will work cross-functionally with local and global stakeholders, helping to shape marketing decisions, enhance customer engagement models, and build the scalable processes, capabilities, and insights needed to support our ambitious growth plans. Besides this, you bring:\nMinimum BS/BA degree with MS/MBA preferred\n10+ years of consumer experience; 3+ years' experience in OTC is a plus\nExperience in global consumer strategy and tactical planning with the ability to communicate ideas to internal partners and external agencies\nDeep understanding of omni-channel\nA track record of driving growth through effective customer engagement and key account management\nProven track record of influencing, aligning, and inspiring cross-functional stakeholders at all levels, building trust and cultivating strong relationships to achieve shared goals\nResults-driven mindset with a high level of ownership, urgency, and resilience, consistently delivering on commitments while navigating obstacles and evolving business needs\nDemonstrated ability to use data, insights, and structured analysis to inform decisions, challenge assumptions, and recommend evidence-based actions\nFull proficiency in English (written and spoken) is essential\nWhy this role\nThis is an exciting opportunity to shape how consumers connect with the diseases we prevent and make a meaningful difference in their healthcare journey. Reporting to the Director QA Bern, Qualified Person, this role is based in Bern, Switzerland.\nThe role\nAs Head of QA Operations, Product & Batch Flow, you will lead a team of eight and drive operational QA activities that ensure compliant, timely, and inspection-ready batch execution across the Bern site.\nYou will own the Product & Batch Flow pillar, providing leadership across product and batch readiness, manufacturing documentation, raw material quality oversight, stability-related QA activities, and product disposition preparation.
