As part of a major organizational transformation, we're building a sustainable and scalable payroll function and are looking for a Senior Payroll Specialist who thrives on bringing structure to complexity and driving continuous improvement. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive professional who can balance multiple priorities, work independently and build trusted relationships across the organization. Your contribution to our success

Play a key role in the payroll transformation, supporting migration to a new system while driving process improvements, automation and digitalization initiatives

Co-lead the design, implementation and stabilization of payroll processes and structures resulting from organizational and legal entity changes

Manage end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance with all legal, tax and regulatory requirements

Independently execute payroll runs, including monthly and year-end activities, across multiple entities

Maintain robust payroll controls, reconciliation and validation processes to ensure accuracy and data integrity

Manage social insurance and pension matters, including annual reconciliations, absence-related benefits and compensation fund settlements

Serve as a trusted advisor to HR, managers and employees on payroll, social insurance and related matters

Analyze payroll data and trends to support reporting, decision-making and continuous improvement
What you bring in

Commercial, business administration or payroll background, ideally complemented by further education in Human Resources, Social Insurance or a related field

Several years of experience in payroll administration and processing, ideally in a complex, multi-entity environment

Strong knowledge of Swiss payroll accounting, social insurance regulations and reconciliation processes

Experience supporting payroll transformations, process improvements, system implementations or digitalization initiatives is highly desirable

Proficient in MS Office; experience with Mirus is an advantage

Reliable and service-oriented team player with strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Fluent in German (C1/C2) and intermediate level of English (B1); additional language skills are an advantage

Location: 1-2 days per week in Altdorf or Andermatt; the remaining working time can be performed remotely from home
