We are currently recruiting for aResearch Chemiston behalf of a leading international company in the agrochemical sector, based in Stein, AG, Switzerland.This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic R&D environment, where you will contribute directly to the design and synthesis of new molecules from early discovery through to development.Research ChemistYour responsibilitiesAs part of the Research Chemistry team, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality compounds by combining hands-on laboratory work with scientific problem solving.Your responsibilities will include:Designing and executing synthetic routes to target moleculesPerforming organic synthesis independently and within a teamTroubleshooting and optimizing reactionsConducting purification and structural analysis (e.g. chromatography, NMR, LC-MS)Ensuring full compliance with HSE standards and risk assessmentsAccurately documenting experimental work and resultsCollaborating with cross-functional teams (analytical, automation, etc.)Your profileWe are looking for a hands-on chemist with a strong foundation in synthetic organic chemistry:Master’s degree in Chemistry or apprenticeship + industrial experienceIdeally 1–5 years of experience in organic synthesisSolid knowledge of:Reaction design & retrosynthesisPurification techniquesStructural elucidationComfortable working in a lab-focused, fast-paced R&D environmentProactive, collaborative, and able to work independentlyFamiliar with digital tools for chemistry data (a plus)Additional requirementsFluent in English (mandatory)German is a plusBased in Switzerland or within commuting distance of Stein.Why apply?Join a global leader in agrochemical innovationWork in a modern, well-equipped laboratory environmentBe part of impactful projects with real-world applicationsLong-term contract offering stability and hands-on experienceIf you are a motivated chemist looking for your next challenge in R&D, feel free to apply or reach out directly for more information.
